- Drag and drop the exr file into your project and set the import as colorlut
- Drag and drop the colorlut in your library into Camera Settings > Color Profile
- You don't need to enable Log tonemapping or change anything, it should work as is
- Optional :
- Change the color management of Substance Painter into OpenColorIO when creating a new project of modifying an existing one. Then you can change the way the viewport is displayed and it gives you more control over color spaces of your exports.
- Choose sRGB if you use the LUT (ACES sRGB is close if you don't use the LUT but not as close as sRGB + LUT from my tests)
If you want to learn how to make your own LUTs and how this one for Unreal Engine 5 came to be, here is an article I wrote on Medium : https://medium.com/@alexandrealvesdb/how-to-match-substance-painter-viewport-with-ue5-2b022a624515
If you want an OCIO config to get the UE5 look, I'm working on it but I don't know when I will finish it.
